With the Games one year away, the organizing committee paints a positive picture of its progress. Planning for the key stages is on track and the various services are currently hard at work to make sure that everything is ready for August 2, 2013. Community mobilization and involvement are making a significant contribution to ensuring the event’s success.
Volunteer recruitment is also going well. Venue teams and sport organizing committees composed of “Gold” level volunteers are at work to ensure the competitions run smoothly.
ZigZag’s attendance at summer festivals and events has been stirring up public interest in the Games. More than 1000 volunteers have already registered on the Shebrooke2013.ca Web site.
There are great challenges yet to come! Over the course of the coming year, keep up with the Games’ developments and experience this major adventure with us!
