Interested in getting a taste of what’s to come during the Canada Summer Games–Sherbrooke 2013? Come and watch the test events taking place over the next few weeks in Sherbrooke, Magog, and Coaticook. The events will kick off on July 7 and 8 with the Omnium du Québec  jeunesse de volleyball de plage beach volleyball competition at Atto-Beaver Park.

During these events, more than 3500 athletes in triathlon, basketball, swimming, cycling, baseball, canoe-kayak, sailing, rowing, and soccer will give their very best!

The test events are sports events that will highlight many disciplines that will be part of the Canada Summer Games–Sherbrooke 2013. The organization and holding of these test events are the responsibility of the local sports clubs that oversee the disciplines concerned.

These sports events will enable the Canada Games organization to do a test run of its various services including health, information technology, and accommodations. Staff and volunteers will become familiar with the new competition venues, devices, and equipment. This will also provide an ideal opportunity to recruit and train volunteers.
